Sarasota Bradenton International Airport
Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) is the main airport for the Sarasota and Bradenton area. Positioned about six miles north of downtown Sarasota and 10 miles south of downtown Bradenton, it is wonderfully placed for Gulf beaches, cultural attractions, waterfront neighborhoods, and dining in both cities.
Airlines and Flights
American, Delta, United, Allegiant, and Frontier are among the carriers that have served SRQ, with additional seasonal and charter flights possible. Routes and schedules evolve, so confirm current service with the airport and your airline before travel.
Parking and Transportation
Short-term parking near the terminal works well for pickups and brief stays, while long-term options accommodate extended trips and may use shuttle transportation. Valet service may also be offered. Rental cars, taxis, ride-share services, buses, and hotel shuttles connect the airport with Sarasota, Bradenton, and the barrier islands. Check current rates and lot status before arrival.
Accessibility
Accessible restrooms and parking, wheelchair assistance, visual and auditory aids, and service-animal relief areas support passengers with disabilities. Relief areas are available before and after security. Request airline assistance in advance whenever possible for the smoothest trip.
Beaches, Art, and Gardens
Siesta Key Beach is famous for soft white sand and inviting Gulf views. Follow beach flags and local safety guidance before swimming. The Ringling combines an art museum, the Ca’ d’Zan mansion, circus history, and beautiful grounds, while Marie Selby Botanical Gardens showcases remarkable plants in a scenic bayfront setting.
More Sarasota-Bradenton Favorites
Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium offers marine exhibits and a window into local research. St. Armands Circle is a fun stop for boutiques, galleries, dining, and an after-dinner stroll. South of Sarasota, Historic Spanish Point shares layers of regional history, while the Bradenton Riverwalk adds playgrounds, public art, splash features, and Manatee River views.
Flights, parking, attraction hours, and transportation services can change. Check the official Sarasota Bradenton International Airport website and individual attractions before departure. SRQ makes it easy to start enjoying Florida’s Gulf Coast almost as soon as you land.
